[A] SUMMARY

RETURNS & EXCHANGE POLICY – THE SAREE MAHAL

We hope you absolutely love your saree from The Saree Mahal!

Kindly note, all sales are FINAL - No Exchanges (except product is damaged/defective). 

  • We would require a parcel opening video that clearly shows the issue.
    (Please ensure the video is continuous and unedited, starting from the package being opened.)

 

[i] EXCHANGE POLICY

We offer exchanges within 4 days of receiving your order, provided:

  • The Saree received by you is damaged/defective
  • The saree being sent back to us is in its original condition, unused, unwashed, and neatly folded as received.
  • It must be returned in its original packaging, along with the price tag intact.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE :
We currently do not offer a reverse pickup facility. Customers will need to arrange for the return courier at their own expense.

·        Once we receive the saree and inspect its condition, we’ll initiate the exchange process.

 

[ii] RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At the outset, we do not send you products/or sarees that are damaged or defective because of rigorous quality checks conducted by the owner herself.

1.      However, should there be a damage/defect that happened while in transit, kindly note that returns will be accepted only for such cases, and, that the request must be supported with:

- A parcel opening video that clearly shows the issue.
(Please ensure the video is continuous and unedited, starting from the package being opened.)

3.      Once the product/saree has undergone a quality check & approved for refund, we will process the refund within 7–10 working days from the time we receive the returned item in good condition.

4.      For any concerns or assistance, feel free to reach out to us at connect@thesareemahal.com – we're always happy to help you find your perfect drape!

5.      Once your product arrives back to us, we'll promptly notify you via email, message or phone call.

6.      Our recommendation is 'Indian Speed Post,' as it is a government-owned entity with the most extensive & widely distributed postal network in India

7.      IMPORTANT NOTE: we request that you do not use Professional Couriers for self-return as they are not reliable and the return package will NOT BE ACCEPTED BY US if there’s any form of (i) damage by way of torn or opened package/parcel, (ii) and/or the returned items appear to have been worn, washed, staining or have been soiled, or, (iii) we’ve received a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT item than the one we sold to you – NO REFUND WILL BE APPLICABLE FOR SUCH CASES

 

[B] DETAILED EXPLANATION (for better understanding & communication transparency) :

RETURNS MADE EASY:

1.      Please do not tear away/or, discard the price tag on the saree/garment you’ve purchased from THE SAREE MAHAL

2.      1. Kindly note that product exchanges (damaged/defective) are subject to product & color availability [A parcel opening video that clearly shows the issue is a MUST - Please ensure the video is continuous and unedited, starting from the package being opened]

3.    2. You can initiate a return request through our returns center within 4 days of delivery. Simply follow the steps by clicking on the RETURN REQUEST link [placed conveniently  (i) Main Menu, and, (ii) Footer section]

4.      3. Go to Menu -> RETURN REQUEST -> put the Order Number & your registered Email ID/mobile number you put at the time of purchasing your order.

5.   4. Should you wish for us to REVERSE PICKUP the product, you will be charged an amount of Rs 200 for the same & it will get deducted from the refund amount. 

      5. Once our support team confirms your return request, we'll start the reverse pickup process. Once the items have been collected, we will promptly process your exchange or refund accordingly.

6.      6. After the returned item arrives at our warehouse and passes the quality inspection, the refund process will begin within 7-10 business days.

7.      7. We can refund you through the same bank account via which you made the payment – whichever you find more convenient [Refunds for cash on delivery (COD) orders will be issued via direct deposit into your bank account, equal to the total order value. For that you need to give us your Bank Details]

8.      8. Kindly note that in the event of a return of a discounted item, the refund will only cover the amount that you paid, not the current product price.

9.      9. We reserve the right to reject refund/s of returned items if they have been returned NOT IN GOOD CONDITION - viz. items that appear to have been worn, washed, stained, torn in places, or soiled.

10.   No refund will be given on heavily discounted prices during Clearance Sale/Warehouse Sale, End Of Season Sales etc

 

REFUNDS

1.      Our products are backed by a complete refund policy, covering the entire purchase amount only for damaged & defective goods received at Customer/s end [except for End Of Season Sales, Warehouse/Clearance Sales].

2.      The refund will be issued to the original payment method used during the order placement process.

3.      Refunds for cash on delivery (COD) orders will be issued via direct deposit into your bank account, equal to the total order value (for that we would need your bank details/UPI ID & UPI mobile number via email at connect@thesareemahal.com )

 

REFUNDS NOT APPLICABLE 

1.      Kindly note, if there’s any damage that happened at your/Customers end – i.e. either torn or opened package/parcel, and/or the returned items appear to have been worn, washed, staining, have been soiled, or altered.

2.      For deeply discounted products, end of season sales, or warehouse/clearance sales.

3.      Refunds or exchanges are not applicable for un-damaged or non-defective sarees, and, highly discounted products

4.      Kindly note that (i) shipping and (ii) COD handling charges of INR 150/- are non-refundable.
